Park Heights Renaissance presents the 5th Annual George “Spider” Anderson Music & Arts Festival

Saturday, May 16, 2026  |  1:00 PM
4800 Block of Park Heights Avenue

This is a free festival, celebrating culture, community and legacy, honoring George “Spider” Anderson — the first Black jockey to win the Preakness in 1889 — and uplifting the rich history of Black horsemen in American racing. We are proud to be the Official Community Partner for Preakness 151!

There’s fun for the whole family—star entertainment, horseback rides, carnival games, food trucks, vendors, a kids’ zone and much more!

Our vendor village is officially full!
Thank you to the many businesses and entrepreneurs who registered to be part of this year’s George “Spider” Anderson Music & Arts Festival. Vendor registration is now closed as we finalize this year’s lineup of amazing businesses

Looking for Volunteers
We’re looking for volunteers to support all areas of the festival, from setup and guest support to logistics and operations. We also welcome creatives, including photographers, videographers, influencers, and content creators. Visit GSAFest.eventbrite.com to sign up. [Click on the Volunteer Ticket]

This year’s “Preakness in Park Heights” theme invites guests to dress like they’re going to the races. Best-dressed attendees will win their share of big prizes!
